After several years of DVC debate, I'm still surprised by the level of ignorance expressed by most contributors.

There's a few points people ought to have learned at school:

A novel is a work of literary fiction.
Enjoyed the site, very useful filling in some of my gaps on DVC problems.

Just wanted to supplement the bit on the Merovingians: Brown, or his sources, have muddled two or possibly three different Dagoberts together. Dagobert I died in 639 and was succeeded by his son Sigibert.
Good evening all. I have not read the book. I am familiar with the ideas the book is based upon. With everyone looking for the truth it seems they overlooked a very simple clue that has been included in the book. So dark the con of man? I believe that plays an important role? It is a simple anagram of "So mark the con of Dan" Dan being the author. Coincidence? Once Robert and Sophie arrived at Teibing's house, why on earth would he continue with the Silas/Remy/Aringarosa plot? The keystone was in his hands, along with two people who were willing AND able to help him uncover the grail.
